The versatile iTunes software can store movies, videos or television shows that you purchase or rent through the iTunes Store. ITunes can also import homemade movies and videos from your personal collection.     Open iTunes.

    Click on "iTunes Store" under the Source list and select "Movies" or "TV Shows" from the navigation bar to open the movies and TV shows pages.

    Select a category from "Quick Links," do a keyword or subject search using the "Search Store" tool or scroll through the page for titles that interest you. Click on the movie title to go to its information page.

    Read through the movie summary and reviews on the information page. Decide on whether you want to purchase or rent the movie. Click on "Buy HD Movie" or "Buy Movie" to make the purchase. Otherwise, click on "Rent HD Movie" or "Rent Movie" to watch the movie as a rental. If you choose to rent, you have 30 days from the date of download to view the movie. Once you start the movie, you have 24 hours to complete it.

    Enter your iTunes account Apple ID and password and then click "Buy." This action will download the "Movies" section of your iTunes library.

    Browse through your computer to locate the folder that stores your *.mov or *.mp4 files in the "Add File" or "Add Folder" dialog box. Select the desired movie or folder and then click "Open." The movies will download to the iTunes library.

    Open Windows Explorer and locate the folder containing the *.mov or the *.mp4 files.
