One feature Netflix offers its users is the ability to enable subtitles on its digital streaming content to provide accessibility for everybody. For example, an actor's strong accent can make it difficult to understand dialogue, or you may need subtitles to still understand a movie when you need to keep the volume low on your computer. You must enable subtitles on Netflix after you start viewing the content for every program you want to watch. Enabling the subtitles in one movie will not enable the subtitles in all movies.
Navigate to Netflix and sign in to your account.
Select the streaming content you want to view.
Hover your mouse over the "Subtitles" icon. This icon is a picture of a word bubble with lines in it. If you do not see this icon or the icon is gray, the content you are trying to watch does not offer subtitles.
Click "English" under the Subtitles column to enable subtitles.
Click "Off" under the Subtitles column to disable subtitles.
